BTW, the Bandwidth Hog (which many local readers may recognize as Sweetmeat, the mascot of St. Louis’ KSHE 95 Real Rock Radio) was actually originally the infamous album cover Ahead Rings Out by the band Blodwyn Pig:

As you may know, the original Sweetmeat was portrayed smoking a joint. It seems funny now, but when this image first began circulating on t-shirts and bumper stickers around St. Louis in the early 70′s, there was such an outcry that the joints were removed from all subsequent ads.

This is really cool: KSHE 95 recently announced its first HD Radio subchannel, which will broadcast a 24-hour version of longtime personality John Ulett’s* popular KSHE Klassics Show. You can get details at the KSHE 95 website.
