Chris Rose is back from the dead (and he doesn’t even smell)

I have recently been in contact with Chris Rose, the awesome drummer who played on Electric Man. It’s been years since we talked, and it’s nice to know that even though we are both (much) older and (hopefully) wiser, we are still good buds. Most people don’t know it, but he was only 19 years old when he played on Electric Man.

19 years old. And he was already smokin’ like a mofo. wow.

Well, he left the DRB for greener pastures (and I don’t blame him, we made literally peanuts back then), but I heard through the grapevine that he turned into a bona fide monster, and played with some pretty monstrous cats over the ensuing years.

Here’s a pic of him playing with his band Ivory Jones – no he didn’t take the name from Inner Travels, he was the one who told me years ago about a bit part Miles Davis played in Miami Vice (portraying an old pimp, and I think a narc, of all things).

No I didn’t include Gene Simmons (rat rapist) – I said list of musicians.
